The commercial vehicle group MAN and Apleona HSG Facility Management are expanding their cooperation in the field of facility management, which has been ongoing for more than seven years. The service agreement for the production location in Poland was renewed for three years. Furthermore, Apleona HSG Facility Management will also take on the running of MAN’s data centres in Germany for the next three years. The two companies have now concluded a corresponding agreement.

The partnership between the two companies began with facility management contracts in Spain, and has been expanded with new mandates from the international commercial vehicle manufacturer. Apleona is responsible for the functionality of MAN’s core business, for instance through production-related technical services at its Polish truck plant.

The trust that has been built between the two companies and Apleona’s expertise in facility management for data centres, which it has been advancing continuously over recent years, are now leading to a further intensification of the cooperation for the running of MAN’s data centres. The facilities at the Munich and Dachau locations are strategically highly important to the commercial vehicle manufacturer. Among other things, these data centres handle the data streams for MAN’s production areas and its national and international communications. Apleona HSG Facility Management is taking on the technical and infrastructure facility management in these sensitive areas of the industrial group. In the new data centre building in Dachau, the service provider has already been mandated with the FM services during construction and launch tests

Apleona HSG Facility Management applies the “4P Critical Engineering Framework” at MAN. With this internally developed standard for the operation of data centres, Apleona HSG Facility Management assists its customers in assessing risks in their data centres, reducing them with targeted measures and ensuring and continuously optimising the quality of operations. Apleona HSG Facility Management already successfully uses this standard for data centres for automotive, banking and IT groups.
